Greg Williams received a B.Sc and JD from McGill University and an LL.M from University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining New England BioLabs, he was a partner in an IP firm in Boston with a specialty in biotechnology. He worked on some of the earlier patents for Genetics Institute including patents on factor VIIIC.
He and his wife Jane are raising three children in New Hampshire, where Greg serves as a selectman.
