Kapil joined the Save One Life board in the beginning of 2010, after recently moving to Boston to take up the post of Associate Director at the Boston Hemophilia Center, located at Children’s Hospital Boston. Kapil is also an instructor in pediatrics at Harvard Medical School.

A pediatrician, Kapil has focused his medical career on hematology and oncology. Kapil received his initial medical training at the JLN Medical College at the University of Rajashtan in India. He interned and completed his residency at Case Western Reserve University, and undertook a three-year fellowship in pediatric hemotology oncology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

I have been very intimately involved with the medical care of hemophilia patients over the last few years. In addition, I am starting to develop an understanding of the international issues related to hemophilia, due to my involvement with the World Federation of Hemophilia. And of course, growing up in India gives me a unique insight of how things work in developing countries.”

We believe that the valuable medical perspective Kapil offers, along with his appreciation for the realities facing patients with hemophilia in developing countries, will be a great asset to the board.

“I am very impressed with the mission of Save One Life program especially how it works at the patient level to provide a direct benefit along with providing the personal connection. It is serving a noble cause and providing direct benefit to a patient population that is closest to my heart.
