Jim Ellard is the CEO of New England BioLabs, Inc., a world leader in the production of enzymes for molecular biology applications. He started his career as a bench scientist working to overexpress and purify various enzymes essential for the manipulation of DNA. He now has more than two decades of experience in marketing, business development, brand management and strategic planning in the life sciences industry.
Active in business and community affairs in Massachusetts, Jim previously served on the Board of Associates for the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical research. He holds a BS in Life Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and lives on Boston's North Shore with his wife and three children.
